4,51 milliards d’années est l’âge estimé de la Lune et figure centrale du travail de l'artiste visuelle Sandrine Elberg. Le film est imaginé comme un voyage spatial aux origines de la formation de la Terre et la Lune. Suite à collision de deux planètes la vidéo nous plonge de l'infiniment grand à l'infiniment petit à la découverte de micro-organismes vivants liés à la présence de l'eau et de gaz dans leurs composition chimiques respectives. Loin des images scientifiques et historiques de l’exploration lunaire, 4,5M, invite à contempler la naissance du plus vieux satellite de la Terre au travers d’un imaginaire fantasmé dans les pas de Jules Verne et de George Méliès.

Ce voyage stellaire et sonore est présenté en triptyque, trois points de vue différents et trois échelles de temps différentes.

4.51 billion years is the estimated age of the Moon and a central topic of the visual artist Sandrine Elberg. The film is imagined as a space trip to origins of the formation of the Earth and the Moon. Following the collision of the two planets the video takes us from the infinitely large to the infinitely small to the discovery of microorganisms living organisms linked to the presence of water and gas in their composition chemicals. Far from scientific and historical images of lunar exploration, 4.5M, invites us to contemplate the birth of the oldest satellite on Earth through an imaginary world fantasized in the footsteps of Jules Verne and George Méliès.

This work is presented on 3 giant screens simultaneously with sound.
